befriended a stranded star © 2006 W.Cook
I love photographs that don’t look like photographs. I have always enjoyed manipulating the emulsion of film to create painterly images. This is something that I missed about digital photography. I love the immediacy of the medium, but I missed the nuances of film. Recently, I found that I could achieve the same look of my earlier explorations with emulsion augmentation.
My photographs are dreamlike and painterly in nature and in this form my work is not only a document of time, but a summoner of the imagination.
